This piece is of a boy with black cloth covering groin, gold necklace (in relief), red maraca in left hand and hair tied up. Also states COPYRIGHT 1958 RUGGERI on the back. It is also available as a boy with long black loin cloth playing drum on left knee. RUGGERI is also on the back.…

It is also available as a boy with long black loin cloth playing drum on left knee. RUGGERI is also on the back.

Given the other piece by Paoli, Musicians by Paoli – Reg 887094 / B.L.3, which also has RUGGERI on the back, I am concluding that this is by the same designer but probably need the orginal registration paperwork to prove it

It was registered on 14 March 1958

Looks to be half of a duo that Paoli designed again with B.L.13 (see Boy with maracas by Paoli – B.L. 13) and was also sold as one joint design, Musicians by Paoli – Reg 887094
