Salvatore Melani was born in 1902 in Italy. He is famous for making figurines in bronze and chalkware plaster.
The Melani Collection is collated here that I have managed to find. There are a few sites on the web with information saying that S. Melani may have worked for ARNOVA, a Belgian manufacturer, but I am unable to confirm this at the moment
