A trip to the National Archives at Kew Gardens in London back in 2020 came up trumps with a new designer and finally another piece in the collection identified. ALways good to actually know who the designer was.
It is by Diomede Nieri who was based in Manchester and was registered on 24th September 1959. There is more detail about Nieri on the About page.
It is interesting to note that the vase is painted in at least 3 different ways, we have 2 in our collection. If you have this piece, is the decoration different again, do let me know. I know that collectors have recently been spotting more Nieri.
