I can only find two examples from Paoli that are in this style, the other being the Elephant. The piece was originally painted black with gold trim on the toes, ears and mane before being sold. It was registered on 15th March 1957 as ‘a set of articles comprising two mantel ornaments’.
I can’t find any other examples, other than the one in our collection, but I would be interested to know if you have a piece that is painted differently. Do get in touch.
